Fun Holiday Events in Edmonton

It’s that time of year again! Edmonton is the perfect place to have a festive and joyous holiday season with your family. Here are some ideas for fun things to do around Edmonton over the holidays. Best of all, most of these fun events and activities are free or very affordable.

Nov. 21st: All Is Bright

The annual All Is Bright event on 124th Street and High Street promises merry Christmas lights, delicious food trucks, sleigh rides, ice sculptures, beer gardens, and live music. Whether you want to take your significant other on a fun date or bring your whole family out for an afternoon and evening of fun, this event is not to be missed.

December 19th: Hayrides and Santa Photos

From 11 am to 3 pm, bring the kids to the lobby of the Professional Centre at 6650-177 Street. They will get to pose for photos with Santa, make fun holiday-themed crafts, and even ride in a horse-drawn sleigh. There will also be a coat donation drop-off, so be sure to bring any new or gently used coats for kids or adults that you’d like to donate to make someone’s winter a little warmer.

December 11th-January 3rd: Candy Cane Lane

Nothing captures the spirit of Christmas quite like the lights and decorations of Candy Cane Lane. Be sure to wear warm clothes and comfortable clothes as Candy Cane Lane is best enjoyed as a leisurely stroll with the whole family. There will also be an opportunity to drop off donations to the Edmonton Food Bank.

December 11th-30th: Christmas Reflections at Fort Edmonton Park

Christmas Reflections allows you and your family to step into the past and experience Christmas as it was for Edmontonians over a century ago. Check out a performance of Gift of the Magi, enjoy a wagon ride, go snowshoeing, and more.

December 16th– January 17th: A Christmas Carol

For a family-friendly night of theatre, be sure to check out A Christmas Carol at the Citadel Theatre. Critics have called it “magical and emotional and a tribute to the power of the human imagination.”

We hope these events make your holiday season even more festive. Happy holidays from the team at Fluent Utilities!
